Warranty Information

Skar Audio is proud to offer a 2 Year Hassle Free Limited Warranty on all products that are purchased directly from Skar Audio’s official website or any authorized retailer of Skar Audio products for the original purchaser. We want our customers to have the absolute best experience possible when purchasing our products, and on the rare occasion that you should have any issue, we want to make sure you do not have to jump through hoops to get this issue resolved.

 

Warranties are NOT transferable should you decide to sell or buy your amplifier to/from a third party.

What does the warranty cover?

 

Skar Audio’s 2 Year Limited Warranty protects consumers from defects in the original manufacturing of your purchased product(s). You can rest assured that any defects in manufacturing will be addressed immediately and that you will not be held responsible for items that falter due to a manufacturing defect.

 

The warranty does not cover products that have failed due to the following circumstances:

 

  • Damage due to an accident (dropped product(s), damage from foreign objects, etc.)
  • Damage due to misuse of product
  • Damage due to using the product outside of the recommended specifications (over powering speaker(s)/subwoofer(s), running an amplifier below a 1 ohm load, etc.)
  • Damage due to negligence or abuse (this includes damage to returned items due to poor/insufficient packaging)
  • Improper installation (including professional installation)
  • Damage due to clipping and/or distortion (improper tuning)
  • Items which appear to have been tampered with (modified or repaired products)
  • Theft
  • Any product purchased from an unauthorized Skar Audio dealer

* Repeated returns of the same item showing the same damage can and will be considered abuse

Skar Audio thoroughly tests each product that is returned for a warranty when determining coverage under the warranty policy. Products are tested by a resident professional that is held to the highest standards of testing with the adequate tools to determine defects. Skar Audio holds sole discretion in the determination of coverage under warranty based upon the aforementioned standards.

 


 

Product Replacement

 

Product(s) that are returned within 2 years from the date of purchase, and are found to be defective under our warranty standards will be replaced. Products purchased within 30 days, depending upon the origin of purchase, may be considered differently under Skar Audio Return Policy.

 

Skar Audio reserves the right to replace any item(s) deemed eligible for coverage under warranty with a certified-refurbished unit of comparable quality. For products that have been discontinued and are being replaced under warranty, Skar Audio reserves the right to replace the discontinued with the model of product most similar to the original product.

 

We understand the importance of having your products back in your possession as quickly as possible. We ask that you allow 3 to 5 business days from the date of arrival to our facility for testing and determination of your claim; however, in most cases, the claim is handled within 48 hours.

 


 

Returning Your Items for Warranty

 

Skar Audio requires the return of any product(s) that are being considered for replacement under warranty. All items being returned are required to first be assigned an RMA number prior to shipping the items to Skar Audio for evaluation. Items returned prior to receiving an RMA number will be returned without being evaluated. 

 

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping their items to Skar Audio for consideration under warranty. Skar Audio will cover the cost of shipping to return your item(s), or their replacement, to the customer, once evaluated and a determination has been made on your claim. Please ensure that you use proper care and packaging when shipping your items as any items that arrive damaged due to improper packaging or improper shipment will not be evaluated under warranty and will be returned to the customer upon receipt.

 


 

Return Shipment of Your Items

 

Item(s) that are being replaced or returned after a determination of your warranty claim will be sent to the address provided original order at the time of purchase. If the address on the original order is not the address to which an item, or its replacement should be returned, it is the responsibility of the customer to specify the address for the return at time of shipment of the items to Skar Audio.

Skar Audio is not responsible for providing a replacement for any shipments that were sent to the address on the original order if prior notice was not provided of the intent to ship to a alternate address.
